What we collect, and why

We do not collect or keep: copies of your ID, card numbers or passwords.
Who we share it with (only what each needs)
- Paystack: payments and deposit holds
- Didit: the ID check (they hold the ID images, not us)
- Meta (WhatsApp): messages
- Neon (database), Render (hosting), Sentry (error reports): they store or process data for us
- SAPS and our insurer: only if equipment isn't returned or is stolen
Some of these services store data outside South Africa. We only use providers with adequate protection, as POPIA requires.
How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records: 5 years (tax and accounting)
- Machine condition photos: 6 months, longer only if there's a dispute
- ID check reference: as long as you're a customer, then 1 year
- Feedback: 2 years
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it (unless the law requires us to keep it), and object to its use. Contact support@fixadora.co.za or WhatsApp +27 76 249 7324. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
Marketing
We only send marketing if you say yes, and you can stop it at any time.
